Connected to the Soil, Authentic to the Core.

Taste has a better memory than we do with chocolate.

Where ROOTED begins

Bhut Jolokia

The first luxury

Chocolate, with a traditional twist.

There is nothing better to make your day than a bite of chocolate, and if it comes in flavours enjoyed through generations, that is the icing on the cake.

At Heritage On My Plate, we have wrapped chocolate's first luxury in our own traditional twist. ROOTED is a range inspired by India's rich food heritage: a heritage ingredient at the core, encased in handmade chocolate.

Every bar is handcrafted in small batches, with the emphasis on skill, patience and quality rather than speed.

Questions

Before your first bite.

What does bean to bar mean?

We make the chocolate ourselves, starting from the cacao bean: sorting, roasting, grinding, tempering and moulding, instead of melting down ready-made chocolate.

Is the Bhut Jolokia bar very spicy?

It starts sweet and the heat builds slowly at the finish. If you enjoy a little chilli, you will enjoy it.

Which bar should I start with?

New to dark chocolate? Start with Orange or the 65% Plain Dark. If you already love intense chocolate, go for the 85% Premium Dark.

Are ROOTED bars vegan?

Yes. All five bars are vegan, gluten free, dairy free and non GMO, made with cacao, cocoa butter and organic cane sugar.

How should I store ROOTED bars?

Keep them in a cool, dry place away from sunlight, ideally between 16°C and 20°C. Avoid the fridge unless your room is very warm.

Do you deliver across India?

Yes, we ship pan-India. Shipping is free on orders of ₹800 and above; below that, a small charge by region is shown at checkout.
